PURPOSE: An air conditioner and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce air volume without interference of air flow and to improve air conditioning performance. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner(100) comprises: a device main body(110) having a filter(120) for purifying air; an blower(130) which is mounted inside the device main body and enable inflow and outflow of the air; a humidifier(140) having a humidification member(142) of rotary disk type; and a driving device(150) which rotates the humidification member in forward and reverse direction. The humidification member rotates in forward direction with respect to the air flow direction in case of air conditioning mode. |
