STAND-ALONE CONTROL MODULE BASED ON FIELD PROGRAMMABLE GATE ARRAY

PURPOSE: A stand-alone control module based on a programmable logic device is provided to independently monitor temperature, pressure, water level, and neutron flux in each control module, thereby preventing all functions from stopping. CONSTITUTION: A signal input unit(410) performs pre-processes by receiving a first signal from a safety system used in an atomic electrical power plant. A signal processing unit(430) provides a second signal to a signal output unit based on output data. The signal processing unit compares digital signals. The signal processing unit determines whether the signal input unit has an error or is out of order based on the comparison result. A control logic(450) generates output data to control a safety system using a digital signal.
