A pneumatic cushion 36 of resilient material has air passageways 38 therein and is mounted on a rigid tubular frame 50 fitted with a valve 24 controlling the admission of air to the frame 50 and hence to the passageways 38 which are connected to the frame 50. Separately inflatable seat and back cushions may be provided. The cushion may comprise rubber slabs 36 having moulded lateral and longitudinal recesses 38 and plateaus 42, the slabs 36 being secured together at facing plateaus 42 around a continuous manifold tube 50 having stub outlets 54 communicating with the recesses 38. In an alternative arrangement, inflatable tubes are connected between opposed stubs 54.
