The stand (2) has a stair shaped support surface (27) arranged above a base resting on ground. A folded cardboard plate has flaps (21, 23) laterally extending from both sides of a central panel (22) and forming a folding angle with the panel. A contour of a cut formed in an upper part of the flaps forms a part of the support surface. The cardboard plate has a third flap (24) extending from the two flaps, and a fourth flap (29) folded such that a lower surface of the plate has a stair shape complementary to that of the support surface and rests on the support surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a stand of an advertising display case.
