PURPOSE: An input processing method and electronic device are provided to perform various input without inconvenience even in interior environment by providing convenient input method and user-friendly method. CONSTITUTION: A detection unit(110) detects a surface which a tapping is forced and range which strength of the tapping is included by responding to the tapping of a user forced to a surface. An operation unit(120) performs operation corresponding to the detected surface and detected range. The operation determines an input of a symbol corresponding to the detected surface and the detected range among symbols. The symbols include numbers, consonants, vowels, alphabet, and special symbol.
