PURPOSE: A battery module is provided to maximize cooling efficiency while minimizing the size of a whole battery module by achieving high thermal conductivity due to a specific structure of a cooling member. CONSTITUTION: In a battery module(500), a plurality of battery cells(100) is built and laminated in a module case(300); a cooling member(400) is installed at the interface of the battery cells; two sides facing the outer circumstance side of a module case has a structure where a battery cell laminate corresponding region is exposed to the outside; A part of the cooling member is exposed through two opened sides; and a refrigerant has a structure where the refrigerant is contacted with a part exposed to the outside of the cooling member and flows along the two opened sides.
