PURPOSE: A battery pack for a notebook is provided to prevent data loss caused by hibernation capacity shortage generated by battery lifetime. CONSTITUTION: A battery pack for a notebook comprises: one or more cells which chemically store and discharge electrical energy; a protection circuit controlling the charge and discharge of the cell; and a case which physically protects the cell and the protection circuit. The battery pack for a notebook further includes an electric double layer capacitor.
