PURPOSE: A method of controlling the regeneration of a diesel fume filter is provided to enhance durability and marketability by determining the reason of abnormal regeneration in a process of regenerating the diesel fume filter and regenerating based on the result. CONSTITUTION: A method of controlling the regeneration of a diesel fume filter comprises next steps. It is determined whether abnormal regeneration is performed in a process the diesel fume filter is regenerated. If yes, the reason of the abnormal regeneration is determined and corresponding abnormal regeneration is controlled. If the reason of the abnormal regeneration is entry to an idle section, fuel spraying is maintained through feedback control according to oxygen concentration and the entry temperature of the diesel fume filter. If the entry reason of the abnormal regeneration is overrun, fuel spraying and air intake are maintained through feedback control according to fuel spraying and exhaust-air flow.
