FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of splitting a data stream into packets which contain either only video units or only non-video units which are interleaved in a multiplexed stream in order to better enable the enhancement of a displayed video stream using a method for solving network planning tasks called "I-frame delay" (IFD) without causing any audio artifacts. A data stream is split into packets which contain either only video units or only non-video units by performing splitting in a data stream in that form in which it is allowed, for completing a packet and beginning a new packet. ^ EFFECT: passing traffic directly through a home network without demultiplexing for increasing quality of the displayed video stream. ^ 14 cl, 2 dwg |
