PURPOSE: A fluorescent lamp, a backlight unit using the same, and a liquid crystal display device are provided to improve a response speed thereof by converting and applying a composition ratio of a phosphor composition material. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent layer is formed by mixing red, green, and blue fluorescent materials. The fluorescent layer is formed to cover an inner wall. The light is emitted from the fluorescent layer by a driving voltage. A plurality of fluorescent lamps(40) includes first and second electrodes. First and second socket parts(22,32) are coupled with a plurality of fluorescent lamps to supply a driving voltage. A cover(10) receives a plurality of fluorescent lamps and the first and second socket parts.
