PURPOSE: A system and method for offering a local telephone number guide service of a roaming country are provided to guide an area code of a roaming country through local network. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(10) registers a position in an oversea mobile radio communication network. A subscriber management server performs the additional service registration function of a home subscriber. If the mobile terminal requests a roaming country area code guideline service, a home MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(40) confirms a roaming country of the mobile terminal through the subscriber management server. The home MSC offers the area code guidance service about the identified roaming country.
