Process of cosmetic treatment of human keratin materials, comprises: applying a cosmetic composition, comprising a reactive compound capable of reacting under the effect of an energy stimulus for producing a color on the surface, to a surface of the keratin materials; and exposing the composition to a source of energy so that the incidence of energy from the source on the composition is non uniform producing a variation of exposure causing a variation in the obtained coloration, detectable in naked eye.
