METHOD FOR PRODUCING CATALYST FOR COMMON PRODUCTION OF DIMETHYL ETHER AND METHANOL

A method for producing a catalyst, in which wet copper-zinc-aluminum carbonate precipitate (methanol-forming component) is mixed with an acidic dehydrating agent and resulting catalyst mixture is subject to drying and calcination. Copper-zinc-aluminum carbonate precipitate is sequentially obtained in two stages - first by a solution of sodium carbonate from a mixture of solutions of zinc nitrate and aluminum nitrate and then to the resulting suspension the solutions of nitrates of aluminum, zinc and copper are added, and an additional amount of sodium carbonate.
