The invention relates to an antibody that binds to PlGF. The invention further relates to polynucleotide encoding thereof, a cell line, a pharmaceutical composition comprising thereof, a method for the treatment and/or prevention of undesired angiogenesis and use of the antibody for the screening of compounds with an additive effect to PlGF inhibition in the treatment of cancer and use of the antibody as an in vitro diagnostic tool.
