RAILROAD CROSSING MONITORING SYSTEM AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PURPOSE: A railroad crossing monitoring system and a controlling method thereof are provided to process actively and efficiently a dangerous state without a blind spot by sensing dangerous elements on a railroad crossing and communicating with a central system using a gateway as a wireless communication device. CONSTITUTION: A sensor unit(110) includes a detection sensor(111) for sensing dangerous elements on a railroad crossing. An image acquisition unit(150) acquires image information by photographing the states on the railroad crossing when the sensor unit senses the dangerous elements. A sensor node(120) collects the sensing information of the sensor unit by including a sensor information collection module for collecting dangerous element sensing information on the railroad crossing from the sensor unit through the multiplexing communication, a first interface module for performing an interface between the sensor nodes, a sensor maintenance module for performing a maintenance of the sensor nodes, and an information processing and control module for processing and controlling the information between the sensor nodes. A gateway(130) receives the sensing information from the sensor nodes through the multiplexing communication and transmits the sensing information. A central system(140) controls and monitors the railroad crossing by generating and analyzing state analysis data from the dangerous element information and the image information.
