PURPOSE: An insulating material and a manufacturing method thereof using an air cap filled with phase change materials are provided to maintain insulation effect by preventing phase change materials from being scattered according to use of wrapping materials and to gain more effective insulation effect. CONSTITUTION: An insulating material comprises includes an insulation layer, and an aluminum foil layer. The insulation layer is formed by laminating an air cap film wherein phase change materials are filled in an air cap. The aluminum foil layer is bonded on one side of the insulation layer. The air cap film is formed with thermoplastic resin or polyethylene. The phase change material is formed with paraffinic hydrocarbon materials. The bottom surface of the air cap film in which the phase change material is adhered, forms an outer layer of the insulation layer(S4).
