FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to quick-drying gypsum products, specifically to a gypsum suspension used to make building articles, including gypsum board. The gypsum suspension contains water, a hydraulic component which contains gypsum plaster and a polycarboxylate dispersant. The dispersant has two repeating elementary units, where the first repeating elementary unit is a repeating elementary unit of monocarboxylic acid with olefinic unsaturation or ether or salt thereof, and the second repeating elementary unit is a vinyl or allyl group bonded to the polyether by an ether bond.
