MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR ORAL CLEANER CONTAINING REFINED OIL OF TURMERIC AND THE ORAL CLEANER THEREOF

PURPOSE: An oral cleaner containing essential oil isolated from Curcuma longa L. is provided to ensure antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans and to prevent dental caries. CONSTITUTION: An oral cleaner contains 0.5-4 mg/ml of essential oil isolated from Streptococcus mutans as a main ingredient. A method for manufacturing the oral cleaner comprises: a first process of washing Curcuma longa L.; a second process of slicing 5kg of Curcuma longa L. and drying in a food drier; a third process of mixing 1kg of dried Curcuma longa L. and three times volume of distilled water and isolating 25-35 ml of essential oil; a fourth process of adding 0.5-4 mg/ml of essential oil to a conventional cleaning oral cleansing composition.
