The device has an umbrella (2) equipped with a mast (5) supported by an umbrella base (10). Photovoltaic cells (1) are mounted on a dome of the umbrella. The photovoltaic cells capture sun rays and transform the sun rays into electrical energy. The mast receives a battery (4) in its inner side. The battery stores the electrical energy recuperated by the photovoltaic cells. The mast or the umbrella base is provided with a charge warning light (3) of the battery. Metal strips (7) are arranged in a lower edge of the mast.
