PURPOSE: An antenna selection device of a diversity antenna system and method thereof are provided to prevent error of selecting an antenna. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(100) compares whether a quality value of measured signal is higher than a predetermined first reference value. The receiver determines a signal detection. A signal is detected form the receiving unit, a selection control unit(200) compares whether the time which antenna stayed which a continuous signal is detected is within an predetermined error available time. The selection control unit determines a change error of an antenna.
