The invention relates to an assessment of the resistance of species and hybrids of plants of the genus horse chestnutto the chestnut miner moth, including direct quantitative determination of the content of endogenous phytohormones, in particular indolyl-3-acetic acid (IAA), zeatin, zeatin riboside and abscisic acid (ABA) in plant leaves. An index of integral biochemical phytohormonal balance Bp is used as the main index. In doing so selection of fresh leaves of the lower, middle and upper layers of species and hybrids of plants of the horse chestnut genus is carried out prior to the beginning of emergence of the chestnut miner moth at the stage of the beginning of flowering of plants. Further extraction, cleaning are carried out and the content of endogenous phytohormones in leaves of the plants is determined, and then the index of integral biochemical phytohormonal balance Bp, which characterizes summary ratio of the content of endogenous phytohormones of stimulating effect (IAA, zeatin and zeatin riboside) up to the amount of the growth inhibitor ABA is calculated. If value thereof is more than 10.0, then species and hybrids of plants of the genus horse chestnut relate to those resistant to the chestnut miner moth, if lesser than 10.0 to nonresistant ones. |
