PURPOSE: An image sensor and manufacturing method thereof are provided to enable films with different refractivity to use a blocking filter which has a laminated structure, thereby a 3D color image sensor of a single chip structure showing a 3D color image. CONSTITUTION: Color pixels and distance pixels are placed on a substrate. A near infrared blocking filter(114) and a color filter(130) are placed on the color pixels. A transmission filter selectively transmits a long wavelength longer than a threshold long wavelength in a visible light band. The transmission filter has a multi-layered film. A blocking filter(150) transmits wavelength light in a visible light band and a near infrared ray band or transmits light of a wavelength shorter than the threshold long wavelength of the near infrared ray band.
