PURPOSE: A high solid coating composition is provided to reduce the used amount of solvents as a volatile organic compound and to ensure excellent processability and hardness. CONSTITUTION: A high solid polyester resin comprises (a) polyhydric alcohol, (b) polyfunctional acid, (c) capping reagent and (d) solvent. The average molecular weight is 11,000~15,000, hydroxy value is 15~25 mgKOH/g, glass transition temperature is 30~50 °C, and solid content ratio is 55~65%. The polyhydric alcohol includes hydroxypivalyl hydroxypivalate. The capping reagent is selected from the group consisting of nonanoic acids, benzoic acids, and p-tertiarybutyl benzoic acids. |
