The chamber (2) has a hollow base body (4) defining a hollow interior volume (14) for circulation of liquid, and a septum (8) closing a main opening (16). A liquid evacuation connection (10) evacuates the liquid out of the hollow interior volume, and a suture thread passage orifice (6) fixes the chamber to a tissue. An insert (12) is made of a plastic material and arranged in the passage orifice, where the passage orifice is delimited by a part of the contiguous hollow base body on height of the passage orifice along an axis of the passage orifice. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an implantable chamber.
