PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to secure a calculation time which is needed for applying functions of an automatic exposure, an automatic white balance, and an automatic focus. CONSTITUTION: An image signal processor(120) performs a predetermined signal processing about a video signal. A signal generating unit(140) generates a first interrupt signal in a storage completion timing of a valid data of an information collecting unit(130). According to the first interrupt signal, an operation unit(160) performs a predetermined operation. An application unit(170) outputs one or more control commands among an image sensor for applying to the next frame or an image signal processor.
