Disclosed is a data arrangement method in which a computer is connected to a storage system that provides a plurality of logical storage devices made up of a plurality of physical storage devices, and in which the computer arranges data in a logical storage area constructed by integrating the plurality of logical storage devices. The data arrangement method includes: a step in which the computer receives an instruction to construct the logical storage area using the plurality of logical storage devices, or an instruction to reconstruct the logical storage area which has been constructed; a step in which the computer acquires information in relation to the plurality of physical storage devices which make up each of the plurality of logical storage devices included in the received instruction; and a step in which the arrangement position of data in the logical storage area is determined in accordance with information acquired in relation to the plurality of physical storage devices.
