<p>Skimmer (10) for aquariums comprising a box-shaped element (20) delimited by at least three walls extending in a vertical direction, water-air mixing means (40) for creating a foam and collecting means (60) for the foam placed at the top of box- shaped element (20), the box-shaped element (20) comprises two opposite vertical side walls (22,24) and a first and a second vertical groove (22a,24a), parallel to each other, are made respectively in the two opposite vertical side walls (22,24), and it further comprises a vertical outside wall (30) having two vertical side edges (30a,30b) opposite and parallel to each other so that the vertical outside wall (30) may be inserted inside the two grooves (22a,24a) of said two opposite and vertical side walls (22,24), so defining a first chamber (32) peripherally delimited by the vertical outside wall (30) and by the three vertical walls (22,24,26), the water-air mixing means (40) being placed inside the first chamber (32) so that inside the chamber (32) water to be purified of the aquarium with air taken from the outside environment are mixed, so creating a mixed flow of water and air which rising up produces a foam which is collected inside said collecting means (60).</p> |
