Disclosed is a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging device for further improving the precision of SAR estimation by accurately estimating the energy of RF pulses absorbed in a part of a subject's body, for example the head, for each subject on the basis of measurements made prior to the imaging. The nuclear magnetic resonance imaging device obtains the signal (Sh) generated from the head and the signal (Sb) generated from the entire body of the subject, obtains the ratio (a) of the signal generated from the head and the signal generated from the entire body of the subject, obtains the energy (Eh) absorbed by the head by using the ratio of said signals, and estimates the head SAR.
