<p>The present invention provides a door phone apparatus for a dual monitor type kitchen television and an operating method thereof, wherein the door phone apparatus has functions of a television, a radio and a door phone, and comprises a main panel having a front surface on which a first monitor is arranged to display an image; an auxiliary panel which is hinged to the bottom surface of the main panel such that the auxiliary panel is foldable and rotatable, and which has a front surface on which a second monitor is arranged to display an image; and a gravity position sensor which senses the rotating position of the auxiliary panel to control the supply of power to the second monitor in accordance with the sensed rotating position. According to the door phone apparatus for a dual monitor type kitchen television and the operating method thereof, images on the door phone for displaying images of visitors can be immediately monitored through the first monitor installed on the front surface of the main panel, even when the foldable second monitor installed on the bottom surface of the main panel is folded beneath the main panel in a horizontal direction, thereby not only increasing convenience but also eliminating the necessity of space occupied by the second monitor, thus improving space utilization.</p> |
