An exhaust gas treatment device is configured in such a manner that, when removing NOx in the exhaust gas of a supercharger-equipped diesel engine by means of an EGR system, the amount of the exhaust gas which circulates to the air intake pipe can be increased to improve the NOx reduction effect and minimize the power consumption amount to thereby reduce the energy consumption and CO2. An exhaust pipe (16) of a marine diesel engine (10A) is provided with an EGR conduit (32) for returning a part of the exhaust gas (e) to the air intake collecting pipe (13). The EGR conduit (32) is provided with an EGR valve (34), an EGR scrubber (36), and an EGR blower (38). An electric generator (40) is provided to the transmission shaft (26) of the supercharger (20), and the electric power generated by the electric generator (40) is sent to the drive motor (39) of the EGR blower (38) through a conductive wire (42) to drive the drive motor (39). An SCR catalytic converter (30) is provided to the exhaust pipe (28) on the downstream side of the turbine (22) to remove the NOx in the exhaust gas (e).
