When a glass layer (3) is fixed to a glass member (4) by emitting a laser beam for temporary calcination to the glass layer (3) from a part (31) of the glass layer (3) serving as a start point and an end point, the glass layer (3) is cut off at the part (31). Herein, since the thickness of the part (31) of the glass layer (3) is set to be larger than that of a main portion (32), end portions (3a, 3b) rise sufficiently. When the end portions (3a, 3b) are melt by emitting a laser beam (L2) prior to final calcination while the end portions (3a, 3b) are pushed against the glass member (4) in the above-described state, a gap (G) can be reliably filled up and the thickness of the glass layer (3) can be made uniform. The glass member (4) and a glass member (5) can be welded to each other by emitting a laser beam (L2) for final calcination to the above-described glass layer (3).
|
