Disclosed is a planting device in which soil (planting bed material) is not susceptible to becoming excessive water. Specifically disclosed are a planting device which makes it easy to embed a water sensor, and makes it easy to determine the amount of water that is applied to the amount of detection water to start watering or single watering, and a feed-water control method. Hence, a planting container (1) capable of accumulating planting water, hydrophilic planting bed materials (20A, 20B), a feed-water device (30) for supplying planting water to the planting container (1), a first water sensor (S1) for detecting the water in the vicinity of an immerged section (24) of the planting bed materials (20A, 20B), a second water sensor (S2) for detecting the water in the vicinity of growth sections (25) of the planting bed materials where plant's roots have been accepted, and a control device that performs feed-water on the basis of the detection of values falling below reference values (Rm1, Rm2) by both of the first and second water sensors (S1, S2), and stops the feed-water on the basis of the detection of values exceeding the reference values by either of the first or second water sensors (S1, S2) are provided. |
