TOUCH SCREEN AND TOUCH SCREEN DRIVE METHOD

A touch screen and a touch screen drive method are provided. The touch screen includes a touch detection area (10), a process unit, transmitting tubes (12) and receiving tubes (14), wherein the transmitting tubes (12) and the receiving tubes (14) are at edges (101, 102, 103, 104) of the touch detection area (10), for providing infrared ray to form scan grids. The touch screen also includes a background light source (22) and the background light source (22) provides assistant ray for the infrared ray. Both the touch screen and the touch screen drive method can reduce impact of dark environment upon the time required to stabilize to receive signal in the touch screen.
