Not every page of an XPS document necessarily has a PrintTicket. Pages that have no PrintTicket are printed by way of reference to a higher-level PrintTicket. Thus, combining a plurality of XPS documents might change which higher-level PrintTicket a page references, resulting in a user being unable to obtain an intended print result. In the provided document processing device, before a combining process is executed, print setting information is generated for a page element on the basis of print setting information for an element higher up in the hierarchy than that page. A combined document is then generated by combining a structured document, which contains the page element to which the generated print setting information has been added, with another structured document containing a page element to which generated print setting information has been added. |
