Disclosed is a flow control device that, for each set of communication operations performed between terminal devices via one or more switch node devices, sends control information for the set of communication operations to the switch node devices. Said flow control device is provided with: a validity-period setting unit that, on the basis of the amount of time that has passed since the aforementioned terminal devices began the set of communication operations via specific switch node devices, sets the validity period of the aforementioned control information such that the more time has passed, the longer the validity period; and a transmission unit that transmits the control information every time the aforementioned validity period has passed. |
