Provided is an image capture system, wherein divided image capturing and conjoining processing of the divided images without any logical contradiction are achieved with high efficiency and at low cost, and creation of a high-definition conjoined image is made easy. The following processing is conducted in the image capture system (10). The distance from an image-capturing object to the fixed position of a digital camera is calculated and stored using a prescribed formula. Resolutions are set hierarchically and stored. Divided frames are created for each of the resolutions by dividing the field angle of the image-capturing range by a prescribed angle, the divided frames are laid out so that the focusing range thereof will overlap with each other, and information related to the layout and resolutions is stored as a divided image capturing plan. Instructions are given concerning image capturing of each of the divided frames from a single viewpoint, for each of the resolutions, on the basis of the divided image capturing plan, and the divided images are obtained and stored. The divided images are conjoined and stored, by conducting a position matching of the divided images by executing a pattern matching of a base image, which is an image that has had an image captured with a prescribed divided image capturing plan enlarged to a resolution that is one step higher, and a divided image obtained with a divided image capturing plan having a resolution that is one step higher, for each of the divided image capturing plans.
