METHOD OF PROVIDING COMMUNICATION SERVICES FROM WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM TO TERMINAL AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

The present invention relates to a method of providing communication services from a femtocell in a wireless communication system to any unauthenticated/unregistered terminal, and an apparatus therefor, wherein the method comprises: a connection request message transfer step, in which the femtocell receives a connection request message transmitted from any terminal and then transfers the connection request message to a local mobility management entity; an identification step, in which the local mobility management entity identifies whether the terminal is authenticated/registered; a service providing confirmation request step, in which the local mobility management entity generates a service providing confirmation request message to decide whether or not to provide services to the identified terminal and then transfers the message to a local registration processor; and a service providing step, in which services are provided to the terminal when an ACK for approving the connection request is sent from the local registration processor, while providing the terminal with the services is declined when a NACK for declining the connection request is received. According to the present invention, communication services can be provided even to unauthenticated/unregistered terminals, based on a specific condition.
