摘要 |
The invention relates to the field of materials investigation and analysis using radiation methods, in particular, using X-ray and neutron radiation, and can be used primarily as a simulant of a nitrogen-containing explosive, with the exception of a hexogen or octogen based explosive, in the testing, tuning and calibration of X-ray and neutron radiation systems for detecting explosives inside monitored items, which systems are used for the prevention of terrorism and the illegal trafficking of explosives, as well as for the training of system operators. The simulant contains a solid body of any shape made from a mixture of the following powdered ingredients: 29-37 wt% aluminium nitrate nonahydrate; 15-21 wt% melamine; and 42-56 wt% graphite, and the solid body has a density of 1.4-1.7 g/cm3. The invention provides for an increase in the range of agents used to simulate explosives, and the creation of a safe simulant of a nitrogen-containing explosive for use in the testing and calibration of X-ray and neutron radiation systems for detecting explosives, as well as in the training of system operators. |
