The present invention relates to a built-in type antenna with a vertically oriented radiating element and a method for manufacturing the same. More particularly, the present invention provides a built-in type antenna using a vertically oriented conductive radiating element, and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the built-in type antenna is configured to fit the structure of a terminal to which the antenna is applied. The built-in type antenna of the present invention not only covers multiple bands but also can be configured into a variety of antenna shapes according to the shapes and characteristics of terminals, thus allowing ease of manufacture and simultaneously reducing manufacturing costs. According to the present invention, the built-in type antenna using a vertically oriented conductive radiating element is configured to fit the structure of a terminal to which the antenna is applied, and has improved radiation efficiency and provides a larger bandwidth as compared with conventional built-in type antennas. In addition, the present invention provides a customized antenna which enables a radiating element to be arranged vertically with respect to a PCB, such that the space formed between the PCB and a cover of a terminal can be utilized. Thus, the customized antenna of the present invention has a high degree of freedom of implementation of pattern, which can correspond to diverse bandwidth characteristics and specific shapes of PIFA, monopole and loop antennas.
