A data storage device and its data management method are provided in the embodiments of the present invention. The data storage device, which is coupled to a host, includes a storage media with data sectors for data storage, and a controller coupled to the storage media. The controller receives from the host one or more read commands and one or more corresponding logic read addresses, reads multiple first data sectors according to the read commands and the corresponding logic read addresses from the storage media, outputs data from the first data sectors to the host, calculates the effective time related to said one or more read commands, calculates an average data transmitting flux according to the number of the first data sectors and the effective time, and judges whether the average data transmitting flux exceeds a predetermined threshold or not. If yes, a bar program is executed by the controller to prevent access from the storage media.
