The device has a rotative cylinder (4) comprising a demountable anvil (41) on a front side, where the anvil is projected and extended parallel to an axis of the cylinder. The cylinder is arranged opposite to a sonotrode (6) and lower and upper film strips (3', 3'') scrolling between the cylinder and the sonotrode for welding of the film strips by ultrasound along with a transversal welding strip. Rotation of the cylinder is controlled by control units (44) between two angular velocities during each revolution of the cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an overpackage from a filmstrip driven by a driving unit along a scrolling direction.
