A transmission device for a two-wheeled motor vehicle comprises an input shaft (5), an output shaft (6), and input-side and output-side transmission gears, and the transmission device is shifted by means of a shift mechanism. One of the input shaft (5) and the output shaft (6), for example, the input shaft (5), has the input-side transmission gears affixed thereto in such a manner that the input-side transmission gears cannot move along the axis of the input shaft (5) and cannot rotate around the shaft axis. The output shaft (6) has the output-side transmission gears fitted thereon in such a manner that the output-side transmission gears cannot move along the axis of the output shaft (6) but can rotate around the shaft axis. The output shaft (6) also has provided thereto slider rings (51, 52, 53) for dog connection, the slider rings (51, 52, 53) being provided in such a manner that the slider rings (51, 52, 53) cannot rotate around the axis of the output shaft (6) but can slide along the shaft axis. Engagement holes (54) are formed in the slider rings (51, 52, 53), and engagement protrusions (56) capable of engaging with the engagement holes (54) by the movement of the slider rings (51, 52, 53) in the axial direction are formed on the output-side transmission gears. |
