<p>A flange protector (1) is provided comprising a flexible impact- resistant material having a cover portion (3), the cover portion (3) having such dimension and configured to cover in protective relationship the surface of a flange member adapted to be connected to an opposing flange member, the flange protector (1) having multiple lugs (7) configured to be inserted into bolt holes located about the periphery of the flange. The lugs (7) have an upper end attached to the flange protector and an insertable end spaced therefrom, the upper end being connected to the flange protector by hinge means, and the lower end being configured to permit rotation into and engagement with a bolt hole. A combination of the flange protector and a flange is also provided.</p> |
