METHOD FOR MAKING LINED PIPE BENDS

A method for making lined bends, wherein the smaller thinner pipe (3) is inserted into the larger thicker pipe (2), both extremities of the pipe assembly (1) are sealed by welding and the closed space is filled with nitrogen. The gas is then put under pressure and a portion of the pipe assembly (1) is heated by means of a hot induction device (9) until reaching an appropriate temperature to allow a good deformability of the metal, a bending moment then being applied while maintaining controlled pneumatic internal pressure in the interior of the pipe assembly (1).
