<p>The invention relates to a method for producing a film composite material (1), in particular for use as a layer in a card body, preferably in a card body of a portable data carrier. The method according to the invention is characterised in that in a co-extrusion process at least one first plastic melt of plastic comprising thermoplastic elastomers, and at least one second plastic melt of plastic without thermoplastic elastomers are brought together in such a way that a film composite material (1) is formed.
