Disclosed is a solenoid valve (10) having a valve sleeve (41) in which a spool (60) is positioned on the interior so as to move freely in the axis direction, and a solenoid unit (20) which is mounted at one end along the axis direction of the valve sleeve (41) and which applies a force to move the spool (60) in the axis direction. Multiple ports (51-54) are formed in the valve sleeve (41) which communicate as appropriate to the interior flow path (47) formed inside said valve sleeve (41). For at least the exhaust port (51) of the multiple ports, it holds that S1 ? S0, where S1 is the valve opening area when the spool (60) moves in the axis direction and maximally opens the valve between the exhaust port (51) and the inside flow path (47), and S0 is the total flow path cross-section area of the exhaust port (51).
