PURPOSE: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is provided to impart excellent stress relaxation properties to an adhesive and to effectively prevent light leakage due to the dimensional change of a polarizer. CONSTITUTION: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises a crosslinkable acrylic polymer in which the average molecular weight is more than 500,000 and less than 1,000,000 and a non-crosslinkable acrylic polymer in which the average molecular weight is more than 500,000 and less than 1,000,000. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition embodies an interpenetrating polymer network in a hardened state.
