METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN ALTERNATOR

PURPOSE: A control method of alternator is provided to control the generated electric power of alternator normally in case the malfunction does not generate, and to control the generated electric power of alternator normally according to the operation environment and traveling state of the vehicles in case of the malfunction. CONSTITUTION: The control method of alternator includes the steps of; ECU(Electronic Control Unit) judging whether input terminal has malfunction of receiving message of battery charging voltage from the battery sensor or the malfunction of the battery sensor; the ECU deciding the first occurrence voltage in which for ECU, alternator generates according to the movement circumstance of the vehicles in case of the malfunction of the battery sensor or the input terminal occurs; transmitting a message to the alternator driving part the first target voltage recompensing said the first occurrence voltage according to the traveling state by deciding the traveling state of the vehicles. The control method includes more steps of; deciding whether the malfunction in the output terminal transmitting a message the target voltage in the alternator driving part occurs; transmitting a message to the alternator driving part the second target voltage by establishing the fixed second occurrence voltage as the second target voltage in case of the malfunction happens in the output terminal.
