<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform indirect transmission of information to a person via a device with optical reading function, in addition to direct transmission of a message thereto through viewing. <P>SOLUTION: A display code 1 is attached to an article. In the display code 1, a code space 11 is formed, by arranging a plurality of cells 12 in a rectangular pattern; one or more cells 12 are selected from the plurality of cells 12 in the code space 11; and a pattern element 15 is arranged in each of the selected cells 12, whereby a symbol alignment pattern 13 showing a message the person can visually recognize is formed, and further from among the plurality of cells 12 in the code space 11; the cells 12 with the pattern elements 15 are set to ON state, to form the symbol alignment pattern 13; the cells 12 free from the pattern 15 are set to OFF state; and additive information different from the message is added to a symbol parameter that is binary information identified by these ON and OFF states. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
