PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the rigidity of a cartridge body, and to prevent the invasion of dust and the like. SOLUTION: In a disc cartridge including a lower shell where a first rectangular plate 40 and disc holders 41 and 42 provided at first side edges of the first rectangular plate 40 are provided and second side edges orthogonal to the first side edges are opened, and an upper shell where a second rectangular plate 13, a pair of standing wall members 14 and 15 provided at third side edges of the second rectangular plate 13, a pair of dividing walls 32 provided at fourth side edges orthogonal to the third side edges and a supporting shaft 16 erected from the second rectangular plate 13 inserted in a center hole of a disc are provided, all surfaces are closed by the first and second rectangular plates 40 and 13, the standing wall members 14 and 15, the dividing wall 32 and the disk holders 41 and 42 by combining the upper and lower shells 11 and 12 and the second side edges are opened by making the supporting shaft 16 abut against the first rectangular plate 40 to vertically separate the upper and lower shells 11 and 12, and thus the disc can be inserted and ejected.
